Privacy Policy
LERAE FARMS, LLC ("Lerae Farms," "the Farm," "we," "us," or "our"), a Utah limited liability company located at 12800 N 1200 E, Lewiston, UT 84320, United States, publishes this Privacy Policy to describe how information is collected, used, shared and protected in connection with this website and the Farm's ordinary business. This website was developed and is maintained by LERAE FAR on behalf of the Farm. By using this website or contacting the grower's desk, you acknowledge the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you give us
When you submit the crop reservation slip, write to us or call the field line, we collect what you send: your name, company or buyer identity, email address, phone number, the parcel and variety you ask about, order details, and anything else you choose to write into the message field. If you are inquiring about licensed varieties, you may voluntarily include buyer license details; we ask you to share only what the inquiry requires.
1.2 Information collected automatically
Like most hosted websites, our server and hosting provider record standard technical data when pages load: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and timestamps. This data is used to keep the site available and secure, not to build advertising profiles.
1.3 Business records
In the ordinary course of farming we keep operational records that may include business contact details: buyer and vendor information, lot and harvest logs, delivery and billing records, and correspondence. These records are part of running a farm that can trace every lot, and they are treated with the same care as the website data described here.
2. How We Use Information
- To answer inquiries and evaluate crop reservations — matching a request to a parcel, variety and season.
- To negotiate, document and perform sales: quotes, contracts, delivery scheduling, invoicing and payment records.
- To satisfy agricultural compliance obligations, including licensed-crop documentation, testing records and buyer-license verification where the law requires it.
- To maintain and secure the website, diagnose errors and guard against abuse.
- To meet legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping duties that apply to a Utah limited liability company.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for targeted advertising.
3. Cookies & Analytics
This website is a static site. We do not deploy advertising cookies, cross-site trackers or behavioral analytics of our own. Your browser may store minimal technical information, and our hosting provider (Firebase Hosting, operated by Google) processes server logs under its own infrastructure policies. Loading fonts from Google Fonts exposes standard request data (such as your IP address) to Google; see Google's privacy documentation for details. If we ever introduce analytics or cookies of our own, this policy will be updated before they go live.
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We share information only where the farm's business or the law requires it:
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery and accounting tools that process data on our behalf under their own terms.
- Compliance counterparties — laboratories, licensing authorities, transporters and escrow or payment parties where a transaction or regulation requires it.
- Legal process — courts, regulators or law enforcement where disclosure is legally compelled, or to protect the Farm's rights and safety.
- Business transfer — if the Farm's assets or membership interests are ever sold or reorganized, business records may transfer as part of that transaction.
5. Buyer & License Records
Orders for licensed varieties (hemp, cannabis, marijuana and any other regulated line) may require us to collect and verify license numbers, test certificates, transport manifests and destination details. We treat these records as confidential business records, retain them for the period the governing law demands, and disclose them only to counterparties and authorities entitled to them. Please do not send license documents through the general inquiry form until we ask for them through an appropriate channel.
6. Data Retention
Website and server logs are retained per our hosting provider's standard schedule. Inquiry correspondence that does not become business is generally retained for up to 24 months. Contract, delivery, tax and license records are kept for the periods required by applicable law — which for agricultural, licensing and tax documentation can be several years. When records outlive their purpose and their legal clock, they are deleted or destroyed.
7. Security
We protect information with measures appropriate to a small agricultural business: restricted access to email and records, reputable hosted infrastructure, and HTTPS delivery of this website. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will respond as applicable law requires. You can help by not sending sensitive documents (licenses, financials) until a verified channel is established.
8. Your Choices & Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information, and to receive a copy of it. To exercise any right, email contact.e.brooks@leraefar.shop with enough detail to find your records. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows. Note that records we are required to keep — contracts, tax documents, license and test records — cannot be deleted before their retention period ends. If you believe your concern is unresolved, you may also have the right to raise it with your state or local data-protection authority.
9. Children's Privacy
This website and the Farm's business are directed at adult buyers, processors and counterparties. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact the desk and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. The current version is always posted here; material changes take effect when posted unless a later date is stated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
